Existen <strong>dos tipos de fibras<\/strong> que act\u00faan en el organismo de manera diferente:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Las insolubles<\/strong> son fibras de baja fermentaci\u00f3n que aumentan el peso de la masa fecal y se excretan pr\u00e1cticamente \u00edntegras a trav\u00e9s de las heces. Contribuyen a acelerar los movimientos intestinales.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Las fibras solubles<\/strong> en agua forman geles viscosos y act\u00faan aumentando el volumen de las heces y reblandeci\u00e9ndolas. Estas fibras fermentan en el colon por lo que contribuyen al buen mantenimiento de la flora bacteriana.
